Pre-Sales Solution Architects will engage with Sales and clients directly to understand the business need, and to design solutions from the services portfolio to deliver successful outcomes.
This role specifically will be to engage with the internal Sales teams to drive x-sell opportunities across the group, as well as direct client engagement (including senior stakeholders) to build confidence in the company, to proactively drive new sales opportunities, and to win net new business within both existing and new clients. This will include internal training delivery, client presentations, assisting with Statement of Work (SOW) drafts, and responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP).
Through the ITAM solution design and implementation, the Solution Architect will work with our internal delivery teams to ensure the solution is understood, agreed, and can be delivered against the required timeframes to drive success.
Continually focus on learning new skills, technologies, methodologies, and changes to ITAM service models to enhance knowledge and cascade to other internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Have excellent ITAM knowledge and have proven experience in a client facing role
- Advocate services to Sales and their clients, and articulate the benefits of engaging with them over their competitors
- Support with specialist knowledge the pre-sales client engagement, qualification, and solution design
- Support with SOW and RFP drafts
- Technical design resource for ITAM services and qualifying technical questions from customers, partners, and colleagues
- Create and deliver pre-sales client facing presentations on solutions, technical concepts, project work plans, delivery approach, milestones, and value to client stakeholders
- Assist with the deal negotiations
- Continue Professional Development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
- Be a Trusted Advisor to your team and your customer
Experience required/desirable:
Required
- Consulting with C-level stakeholders in a business with 500 employees +
- Experience in qualifying, selling and promoting ITAM Consultancy or services
- Ability to design and present project and managed service value-based solutions
- ITAM technology experience and market awareness
- Relevant Vendor / Industry Qualifications
- Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent relationship-building skills
Desirable
- 5+ years ITAM experience in a Pre-Sales or Service delivery role within an ITAM vendor, reseller, or consultancy
- ITAM Industry Certification (e.g. ITIL, FinOps, ServiceNow ITAM/HAM/SAM, IAITAM)
