My client are a leading ITAM Consultancy based in the UK. Due to continued growth and customer demand, they are actively recruiting exclusively with MerlinCorp for a Flexera Technical Consultant to join the team.
Initially it is envisaged that this role will be responsible for delivery of implementation or deployment projects but in time will build a team of Technical Consultants.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Technical Consultant include:
Delivery
- Proactively manage and deliver Flexera implementation services to clients ensuring a consistently excellent level of service.
- Utilise a consultative approach to advise and guide clients on best practice implementation and adoption.
- Ensure client objectives are met and that the client derives the best possible value.
- Develop client engagement practices including, but not limited to, technical solutions, process and project management.
- Identify, document, report opportunities, risks, and associated remediation options
- Ensure customer successes are logged and promoted both within the client’s organisation and also logged
- Ensure that the team develop and maintain key client relationships
Improvement & Business Development
- Maintain up to date industry knowledge of ITAM vendor technologies, policies and practices
- Assist with the training and development new staff
- Operate as part of the team, contributing to client engagement planning and delivery
- Support sales activities for new and existing customer accounts for example by providing Flexera subject matter expertise
- Contribute to the development and on-going improvement of Technology services skills to ensure services are delivered to a high standard, are efficient and cost/resource effective
- Define, maintain, and improve documentation, report templates, delivery standards and working practices across the team
- This is primarily concerned with Flexera’s platforms: FNMS and FlexeraOne ITAM with a desirable ability to include Flexera’s IT Visibility and Cloud Cost Optimisation services as well as the Snow Software product acquisitions.
Experience & Skills
Essential:
- In depth Flexera implementation working knowledge and experience, minimum of 5 years, ideally gained from Flexera, reseller, consultancy, or end user environment.
- Consider themselves a Flexera Technology Specialist
- Proven track record of Flexera implementations
- Excellent working knowledge and experience of ITAM.
- Team Player with individual drive and tenacity.
- Consultative approach to client engagements.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of other tools such as Snow and ServiceNow SAM Pro
- Flexera Professional Certification
- Advanced knowledge of writing scripts required for client deliverables
- ITAM experience and data handling experience.
Qualifications/Experience
- University degree or similar/equivalent combination of studies and experience.
- You may have gained relevant experience from a variety of backgrounds and for the right person we will provide training and support to help you become successful in this role.
Languages
- English: excellent verbal and written skills are essential.
- EU languages desirable (but not essential) such as: German, Italian, French, Spanish.

Location
Remote working is available with travel to our offices and on-site when required. The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK, be a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years and be able to attain UK Government SC Clearance.
